DMT Spotlight: Aimee

Our creative team is growing as we welcome a new Content Writer to Digital Media Team, making it three new starters this calendar year. We spoke to Aimee to find out more about her position and how she’s settling in.

Hi Aimee, can you tell us a bit about your position at DMT?

I’m the newest Social Media Content Writer, which basically means I’m an emoji/filter/hashtag specialist – haha! I’ll be working closely with our clients to manage and create social media pages to boost their businesses forward and help them thrive online.

What attracted you to the company?

Most definitely the Instagram page. It looked like such a fun place to work! I also liked how much the company has grown in such a short amount of time. DMT is a forward-moving company where I can see myself building a career.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?

My biggest challenge is dealing with any negative reviews/comments posted on one of our pages. However, we are fast at dealing with any problems and provide a quick turnaround.

Aimee Corten DMTWhat’s the best bit about your role?

My favourite part of this role is staying up to date with all the latest news and viral trends. I’ve always loved the power of the Internet and now it’s my job to be a part of it.

What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?

I am currently working with a restaurant in Manchester to post Instagram pictures of their delicious delicacies. Probably helps that I’m a total foodie, though.

If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?

I’d be Snapchat. I’m short, sweet, and completely nosy!

Finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Aim high and don’t give up. Anything is possible if you’re willing to work for it.

Thanks Aimee, we’re happy to welcome you into our family and we’re excited to see how you can help our clients progress on social media!
