Employee Spotlight: Tom

We’ve been busy growing our client base and service offerings, so naturally we’ve been recruiting new talent to join the ranks. Here’s the first new starter to join Digital Media Team – Tom will be joining our paid social team…

Can you tell us a bit about your position at DMT?

I am working as a Paid Advertising Exec. This involves managing Facebook advertising campaigns for multiple clients and optimising these to achieve the best return on investment.

What attracted you to the company?

The main attraction of the company was the culture. I wanted somewhere that had that ‘family feel’ but also with room to grow. I like to work hard and play hard and I feel that DMT definitely checks all these boxes.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?  

One of the biggest challenges I face is having to manage multiple projects for different clients with differing deadlines. This could be quite daunting but I enjoy the challenge.

What’s the best bit about your role?

The best bit about my role is the satisfaction of achieving great results from a campaign, as this keeps both me and the client happy.

What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?

My favourite project so far has been adding DABA’s (Dynamic Ads for Broad Audiences) into existing campaigns. These have been fun to create and are producing excellent results for our clients.

If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?

If I were a social media platform it would be Twitter. As I like to keep things short and straight to the point (like their character limit).

Finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

I would say that if you are unhappy in your current situation, then just take a risk and do something about it. You spend just as much time at work as you do at home so it’s really important to find something that is rewarding and makes you want to come to work every day.
