3 Romantic Date Ideas in Liverpool

Social media management for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram.

Valentine’s Day has rolled around again, so to celebrate we’ve listed three of the most romantic date venues that Liverpool has to offer. There’s no shortage of incredible bars and restaurants across our fine city, so if you’re looking to impress your date, partner or even just your friend, you’re sure to be spoilt for choice. It was hard to pick just three, so we’ve gone for a selection that will definitely make it a date to remember. Here goes!

1. Dirty Little Secret

Intimate cocktail bar Dirty Little Secret is one of Liverpool’s new openings, and has recently opened its doors on Wood Street above Revolution. The speakeasy style bar is suave, sophisticated and offers a quirky tiki-style vibe with wooden walls and unusual artwork. It’s a great choice for a first date, as the low-lighting and cosy seating offers you a chance to get close to your partner. The cocktail menu is wonderfully weird – a highlight has to be The Cereal Killer (hopefully your date isn’t one), which features Ketel One, Frangelico, vanilla liquor, cacao brown liquer, cream and Nutella, served in a cereal box. We’re sold.

2. Cains Brewery Village

This might be our favourite choice on the list. The regeneration of the former Cains Brewery Village now offers a wide selection of bars, restaurants and attractions – enough to keep you and your date entertained for the day. You might have spotted this one in the news recently, as the Peaky Blinders bar hit the headlines. What could be more romantic than a gangster 1920s pop-up bar?! If you fancy something a little more active, you can get competitive at Ghetto Golf. The village really does have something for everything – streetfood at the thriving Baltic Markets, a huge selection of bars and fun-filled activities. We’d even date you if you suggested this one. 😉

3. Oh Me Oh My

Stunning Oh Me Oh My on Water Street operates as a lovely tea house and cafe throughout the week, and a unique events space on the weekend. With a soul and jazz soundtrack taking you on a journey back to the era of the Parisian cafe society, the romantic venue is an ideal choice to wow your hun. With a glorious vista looking over the city’s iconic three graces, it’s certainly a striking way to spend a lazy afternoon. Their menu is incredible, with lavish comfort food and picturesque cocktails. Oh, and there’s a secret rooftop bar. Need we say more?
