Welcome to DMT’s Newest Recruit – Here’s Jonny!
In this edition of the DMT employee spotlight we're taking the time to get to know the newest member of our team - Jonny. Jonny has come on board to manage our LinkedIn clients, which is a fast-growing facet of our business. Let's find out how he's finding his feet...
Can you tell us a bit about your position at DMT?
Basically my role is to look after clients LinkedIn accounts and making sure everything is up and running and no glitches occur during the day. I also keep all the information on every LinkedIn account so that we know how well they are doing.
What attracted you to the company?
Digital Media Team looked like a great place to work and I could tell it was a fun and positive place to work so I joined.
What kind of challenges do you face in your role?
The challenges are mainly glitches and slow connection to the servers. There is always a small problem everyday which always involves Google Chrome freezing.
What’s the best bit about your role?
Reading all the articles on come up on my LinkedIn feed which is great as I feel like I learn something new everyday which is normally a challenge for me.
What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?
There is only one project I have been a part of so far, and that is LinkedIn so my favourite project is (has to be) LinkedIn.
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
I’d probably be Snapchat as I like showing off but being discrete at the same time, while showing off all my mini drunken adventures at the weekend to all my friends just to give them a laugh.
Finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
I’d say take your time and enjoy yourself as it can be long process, but there are plenty more positives than negatives in the role so take every day as a learning curve.
