We’ve had yet another addition join our paid advertising department, as our team grows and adapts to changes within the company. We’re delighted to welcome Lauren to the fold… We caught up with her to see how her first few weeks at Digital Media Team have gone.
Can you tell us a bit about your position at DMT?
I work within the Paid Social Team at DMT. I work with a range of clients from fast-fashion to luxury labels, helping them to get the most out of their social media and achieve their paid social goals!
What attracted you to the company?
DMT are more collaborative with their approach to working with clients as opposed to other digital agencies I have worked for in the past. Different departments will talk to each other, share ideas, and look at results on different platforms to gain further insight. I think this style of working is more client-centric and definitely more refreshing.
What kind of challenges do you face in your role?
New systems and new procedures – standard new job stuff!
What’s the best bit about your role?
Definitely seeing the results! From the initial brainstorming and creative sessions to testing campaign types and budgets, seeing the results and hard work literally paying off is the best part about working in Paid Social.
What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?
Lavish Alice is a great client to work for. I love the look and feel of the brand and the visual content that we use for their campaigns. This all helps to achieve great paid social results for the client, which is what we want to see!
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
Travelling shots and food pics with the odd pun thrown in there? Definitely Instagram!
Finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Don’t be afraid to try something new. If you want to work within paid advertising, you need to keep up-to-date with industry changes and take some risks! If it doesn’t work out, you learn from them. Take a leap of faith, find out what works, and adapt your approach according to the results.
Thanks Lauren! We’re excited to see how our approach to paid social changes as you add your flair to our advertising team. Follow our social channels to keep up to date with the latest news, tips and goings-on from DMT HQ.
