DMT Spotlight: Nicole

DMT are constantly growing stronger and we’ve added yet another new member to our ranks. With a background in social media and copywriting, we are so excited to introduce our brand new Content Writer, Nicole. We caught up with her to find out just what makes her tick… 

Can you tell us a bit about your position at DMT?

I’m a Social Media Content Writer. This involves me researching, creating and implementing social media content for a number of different clients across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The role is really creative and gives me lots of freedom to think outside the box!

What attracted you to the company?

I think initially it was the list of clients and the size of the company, but after my first interview it was the people that attracted me to DMT. Everyone is really friendly and always happy to help. I was invited to their annual Summer party after I was hired, and they all made the effort to welcome me to the team.

Since I’ve started we’ve all had a good laugh in the office, but they’re also really knowledgeable and I’m already starting to learn from them.

What kind of challenges do you face in your role?

The main challenge so far has just been getting used to working with new types software compared to my previous role. But fortunately, the team are there to lend a hand if I get stuck!

What’s the best bit about your role? 

I love the creativity of it. It can be a lot of hard work and involves a lot of researching and preparing, but I like the challenge of being tested daily to come up with different and exciting content for our clients.

What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?
Definitely Dimitris! It’s been a staple in Manchester for 25 years so it’s really exciting to produce content for them. Since I moved here in the summer I haven’t had a chance to try their food, but it’s only around the corner from my flat so I’ll definitely have to go!

If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and

Well according to a Buzzfeed quiz I’d be Instagram as: ‘People envy your seemingly perfect life. You are the very definition of
aesthetic! You have perfect brows and awesome outfits making you look like you’re straight out of the Urban Outfitters website!’ Not too sure about the ‘perfect brows’ bit though.

Finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to follow in
your footsteps? 

Make yourself knowledgeable in all platforms of social media. Be the King or Queen of Facebook, Instagram, etc. And aside from the obvious, be confident. It makes such a difference in not just your job, but your relationships and life in general.
