3 Romantic Date Ideas in Leeds

Social media management for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram.

Valentine’s Day has rolled around again, so to celebrate we’ve listed three of the most romantic date venues that Leeds has to offer. There’s no shortage of incredible bars and restaurants across our fine city, so if you’re looking to impress your date, partner or even just your friend, you’re sure to be spoilt for choice. It was hard to pick just three, so we’ve gone for a selection of quirky venues that will make it a date to remember. Here goes!

1. Angelica

Want to wow your date with a stunning view of Leeds city centre? Look no further than Angelica, a swanky sixth-floor restaurant located in the Trinity Centre. With a stunning wraparound terrace and gorgeous pewter bar, Angelica is a slick choice whether its a first date or one with your long-term partner. We’d recommend going all out and sharing the seafood platter – with lobster, oysters, prawns and mussels, it’s sure to go down a treat. Enjoying some cocktails on the terrace afterwards is a sure-fire way to guarantee a second date. If you’re out to impress with style and sophistication, Angelica is the choice for you.

2. Everyman Cinema

If a movie is more up your street, why not try the Everyman Cinema on Albion Street? This isn’t your typical Cineworld with sticky floors, swarms of kids and overpriced popcorn, this is a film experience with a difference, and a breath of fresh air for movie fans. From the vintage sign above the entrance to the retro movie poster wallpaper inside, each aspect of Everyman is presented with a touch of class. The Everyman restaurant is also a delight – offering pizzas, burgers and fast food treats, but prepared to a very high standard. When it comes to the screen itself, it’s filled with spacious two-seater sofas and you can take your refreshments in. Five stars.

3. Blind Tyger

The sultry Blind Tyger on Cross Belgrave Street is a cocktail bar and drinking den, tucked away above its sister bar Sardinista. A text-riddled staircase leads you up to a dark and opulent space that features cosy, candle-lit booth seating, premium spirits and homemade nectars. With curious trinkets and antiques adorning its many shelves and bookcases, it’s a quirky venue that’s sure to appeal to the hipsters amongst us. An abundant cocktail menu gives plenty of choice and if beer is more your thing, a wide selection of craft beers and ales will keep you satisfied. Smart and subtle, Blind Tyger is the perfect fit for a quiet but impressive date with your sweetheart.
