We're growing! Say hello to Megan, our latest Graphic Designer. We sat down with the Leeds Uni graduate who's constantly active with new sporting ventures and always interested in improving her vegan cooking skills.
The Work Stuff 📈
Tell us about your background. What led you to DMT?
I’ve spent the last 3 years at Uni in Leeds studying Graphic Design, and although they were possibly the best 3 years of my life, Manchester has always held a place in my heart! I graduated this year and then began to look for a job in the city. I was excited when seeing that DMT was hiring a Junior Designer, and it was the first job I applied for! What really stood out to me was not only a great opportunity to develop my creative skills and career but, most importantly, the work hard, play hard mentality from the team at DMT.
What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?
I love learning new things, and I believe the learning never stops within a creative role. With a creative eye, I am always inspired by things around me.
What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?
I’m pretty shy, so will be quiet until I get to know you!
The Personal Stuff 👨💻
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Loyal, fun, organised.
What’s your favourite cultural moment of this past year and why?
As a feminist, it’s got to be England winning the Women’s Euro and creating history!
What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?
I’ve done cheerleading since the age of 12, which has been a huge passion and part of my life, but since finishing Uni, unfortunately, my cheerleading days are over. My new hobby is now yoga, and I also recently got a paddleboard! As a very active person, I enjoy the gym and love going on hikes in the peak district.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
David Attenborough documentaries, although I’m not sure that’s guilty as who doesn’t love David Attenborough?!
What causes are you supportive of, and why?
As a vegan, I am big on animal rights and living the most sustainable lifestyle possible. It breaks my heart to see climate change happening right in front of our eyes, so I’m passionate about helping make positive impacts for the future of the planet.
The Fun Stuff 🥂
Give us your best Manchester bar recommendation.
Since being in Leeds for the past few years, I haven’t been to many bars in Manchester, but you can’t beat the gin menu in Atlas bar!
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
Tricky question! I’d probably be Pinterest because I love a good inspirational quote, and I’m always taking Pinterest-style photographs!
Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?
Freddie Mercury, David Attenborough, Florence Given, Steven Bartlett, Jack Whitehall.
Quickfire Qs 🎯
What are you watching?
Killing Eve.
What are you reading?
Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney.

Who are you ignoring?
Erm, I don’t know this question!!
Who are you following?
Most vegan food accounts, I'm always looking for meal inspo and new recipes.
