Roll up, roll up. It’s the next of our wonderful newbies in the spotlight. This time we have Jess, our lovely Junior Email Marketer, here to spill the beans about her multitude of hobbies and her broken aux cable (hope you get it fixed soon 😢).
The Work Stuff 📈
Tell us about your background. What led you to this career/industry?
My dad is your typical hard-working businessman and I’ve always looked up to him. I wanted to copy him by becoming a manager for a company when I grew up but I’m awful with numbers so decided to do something a little more fun. Marketing has always seemed like the only office job people have fun doing, and since I love creating my own little pieces of artwork and am good at writing (I was known for having the best handwriting in primary school) I thought it would be the best suited for me. So far this has rung true and Digital Media Team has made me so excited for what’s to come and taught me so much about marketing in such a short amount of time!
What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?
Being the youngest member to join so far I hope I can bring in new and fresh ideas. I have a very diverse group of friends who keep me up to date with all the latest trends which I can share with the team and I have good attention to detail which I can use when looking at emails, websites and social media pages.
What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?
I might be a little shy until we have been on a night out but once I’ve got 4 cocktails in me I won’t stop talking.
The Personal Stuff 👩💻
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Outgoing, funny but stubborn (the work-friendly version).
What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?
I signed up for every sport possible in school, switching it up throughout multiple years. My 3 favourites that stuck are dancing, swimming and rock climbing. I also enjoy art and reading in my own time but I have never taken them too seriously.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chinese and a movie night in my Christmas PJs definitely trumps a night out all year round.
The Fun Stuff 🥂
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
Instagram – I know lots of people but only have a small group of close friends, I love to online shop and watch reels and I only like to message if it’s sharing a funny or relatable video.
Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?
Probably five of my friends because my favourite artists and actors change weekly.
Quickfire Qs 🎯
What are you watching?
Suits and Shameless (American) on Netflix – Highly recommend.
What are you reading?
On Becoming Fearless – Arianna Huffington.
What are you listening to?
Capital Radio – not by choice but because my aux cable broke :/
Who are you ignoring?
Mike and his suggestions on my 5 dinner party guests because I’m indecisive.
Who are you following?
Meme pages, my mates and lots of influencers for outfit inspiration.
