Next in line for the employee spotlight hot seat is Ollie, our brilliant Junior Content Writer.

Let’s hear all about his passion for the beautiful game and his @wrapgodofficial obsession…

The Work Stuff 📈

Tell us about your background. What led you to this career/industry?

I studied History at uni with the hopes that I could undertake a teacher training course to become a History teacher. When I started the training course, I found that it was not the right thing for me and was then left with no fallback option as I had thought about becoming a teacher for the last 5 / 6 years. I have always enjoyed writing so thought that a career in journalism or content writing could be good for me. When I saw that DMT was advertising for a Junior Content Writer, I applied, and here I am.

What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?

I feel as though I have a good knowledge of technology and how to use various social media platforms to their best ability.

What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?

I will never turn down coffee or beer. Whatever you’re in the mood for, I am too.

The Personal Stuff 👩‍💻

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Fun, Determined, Competitive.

What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?

I love football. Not necessarily playing it, but watching it. I try to catch as many games as possible, whether it’s my team playing or whoever else is on and I regularly spend my time researching other players/teams because I want to know as much as I can about football.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Cooking. I love cooking and could (and have done in the past) spend hours in the kitchen preparing meals for people. I love trying new meals, creating my own recipes and generally just eating great tasting dishes.

The Fun Stuff 🥂

If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?

Twitter. My whole page is full of football and everything to do with it so I spend hours scrolling. I also like to get into the odd argument about football and Twitter is perfect for that.

Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?

Ricky Gervais, Pep Guardiola, James Acaster, Stephen Tries, Noel Fielding.

Quickfire Qs 🎯

What are you watching?

The Stranger.

What are you reading?

The Guest List, by Lucy Foley.

What are you listening to?

A lot of Jamie T and Sam Fender at the moment.

Who are you ignoring?

No one really.

Who are you following?

@wrapgodofficial on TikTok. I’m obsessed.
