Hey! Welcome back.

It's us, your favourite Manchester-based digital marketing agency. We're here with a brand-new face to introduce yourself to.

Soooooooooooooo, say hello to Roberta, our newest PPC Executive. We sat down with the chatty, pistachio gelato-lover about all things PPC and her two fave Manchester bars.

The Work Stuff 📈

Tell us about your background. What led you to DMT?

It may sound a bit cliche, but I wanted to be a part of the advertising industry - not because I watched Mad Men but because of its cultural and creative aspects.

Earlier in my career as a data analyst, I was missing some excitement in my job, so I decided to pivot into digital marketing. Once I got into paid media, I really enjoyed working on eCommerce client accounts and brands such as New Balance. I had been following DMT on LinkedIn for a while, then saw they were hiring, and the rest is history.

What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?

I think my unique contribution to the role comes from my previous experience in paid media across various platforms. Although Google is my primary platform, I consider my cross-platform expertise invaluable. By looking beyond a single platform and considering the broader cross-channel perspective, I can analyse account performance across different timeframes. This ability enables me to make informed decisions that ultimately benefit our clients and align with their long-term goals and targets.

What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?

I’m really approachable and love to chat about random things. Also, never sign me up for a karaoke!

The Personal Stuff 👨‍💻

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

I specifically asked a few of my friends this question, and this was their response, in no specific order: sweet & kind, a heart of gold but stubborn, challenging, sophisticated and elegant in thoughts and looks.

What’s your favourite cultural moment from the past year and why?

It’s hard to really remember so many of them…

Rihanna’s Super Bowl show, Andrew Tate and Greta Thunberg's tweets, Elon Musk’s Twitter odyssey and Eyebrow Gate (Selena vs Hailey Bieber). And the King’s Coronation.

What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?

The gym.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

A cheeky cigarette. And Remeo pistacchio gelato.

What causes are you supportive of, and why?

Not one in particular, as there are so many. Just want everyone to live a long and healthy life.

The Fun Stuff 🥂

Give us your best Manchester bar recommendation.

To be honest, I’m not the best person to answer that as I’m not a frequent goer, but the ones I like are 20 Stories and the Ivy - before it gets too busy.

If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?

It would be Instagram because it’s the one I use.

Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?

It’s a difficult one... I’ll go with Elon Musk, Chris Williamson, Andrew Shultz, Rihanna, and Emma Watson.

Quickfire Qs 🎯

What are you watching?

Peaky Blinders final season.

What are you reading?

Nothing at the moment, but there's so much I want to read.

What are you listening to?

Love the good ol’ Donna Summer.  Also, Grace Jones. There are so many great electronic/vinyl sets on YouTube that I love! At work, you can catch me listening to 90s DnB or random DJ sets on YT. It all depends on the mood and what I’m feeling.

Who are you ignoring?

Answering these questions.

Who are you following?

For my industry news/memes, @digitalchadvertising.

Thanks for sharing, Roberta! We can't wait to catch up with you about the next book you read over a scoop (or two) of gelato!
