The Work Stuff 📈
Tell us about your background. What led you to Manchester to become a content writer?
At university, I studied English Literature and Drama with the aim of becoming a professional writer. During the pandemic, I worked in marketing and e-commerce for a German fashion company. I didn’t like working virtually all the time and, as a result, I found DMT which allowed me to continue in the industry but in person.
What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?
I have previous experience working for an international fashion brand which has given me a good understanding of e-commerce and social media for business.
What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?
I am super competitive, especially when it comes to quizzes!

What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Competitive, quirky and honest.
What’s your favourite cultural moment of this past year and why?
Burger King getting THREE unreal vegan burgers – it’s nice to see massive chain restaurants waking up to the climate crisis.
What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?
I love playing hockey and tennis and I have really been getting into painting!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
A big ol’ fry up.
What causes are you supportive of, and why?
Fighting climate change and supporting female rights! Both are global problems that do/and will continue to affect millions of peoples lives across the globe.

Give us your best Manchester bar recommendation.
I don’t think anywhere beats Refuge at the Kimpton Hotel! It has such a good vibe and the architecture is insane.
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
I think probably Facebook because it is super practical and straightforward which is how I like to approach things.
Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?
Wes Anderson, George Sands, Jung Chang, Iwan McEwan & Sophia Coppola!
