The client.

The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company began when a young family sat around a kitchen table in East Lothian, Scotland around 10 years ago.

The family wanted to make a 100% natural skincare range that would suit all skin types, only using the purest of ingredients. They wanted to provide people with quality, efficacy, and value for money without harming the earth. At ENSC, natural means natural.

With goals to be sustainable, responsible, and keep to all-natural ingredients, they knew there was a big task ahead. At first, they attempted to make a loaf of soap, but results didn’t go well. After much persistence, experimentation, trial and error and graft, they produced their first batch of luxe quality cold-processed soap. This was the moment of birth for The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company.

Over the years, the brand has become renowned for its impeccable quality, and sells to an international audience as well as a passionate UK following. From those first few soaps, The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company now sell over 40 more personal care products, hand-made at their dedicated Studio Labs in East Lothian. The product range spans a wide array to care from users from top to toe – from hair care to face care, mens care through to bathtime and beyond. All products are 100% natural with no petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfates,

To this day, the mantra continues – luxury shouldn’t cost the earth.



The challenge.

Digital Media Team are proud to be teaming up with such a fantastic brand to offer digital marketing services.

Frustrated with the lack of consistency provided by other digital agencies, the Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company signed up with Digital Media Team with high expectations, which we were happy to hit and exceed. The services initially chosen were paid social, PPC and email marketing.

The results.

The month before we took over the account, the spend was at £34,828.02 with revenue sitting at £56,580 – this was a ROAS of £1.62.

After we took over and transitioned from previous agencies ads to ours, the spend initially dropped to £31,311.28 but we generated a revenue of £100,390 – a ROAS of £3.20. This meant we actually spent £3500 less in that initial month, but managed to double revenue and ROAS.

Since we took over the account, we have spent approximately £74k with £222k revenue generated – this is a £3 ROAS on average, on an account that historically had never passed £2 ROAS.
